Aaron/List,
Gents..if my Thermostat was stuck open wouldn't I also not get heat in the car out of the vents? The heater seems to work fine..was nice and toasty in the car after about 5-10 min. Maybe the multifunction switch like Aaron suggested?
Cheers

Hi Cody,
Mine started doing the same thing last week. Im assuming it is a stuck
thermstat but was told it could also be the "multifunction sensor'.
With it not warming up it is likely the thermostat.
Here is some info I got from Brian Powell on the list:
You posted about your thermostat, right? It sounds like your thermostat
is stuck open. This is not good as you car will never reach "normal"
operating temp (especially as we get deeper into fall). You should
replace that ASAP. It is in a rather annoying place to deal with. It
is only a $20 part, but, drive long enough like that and you'll start
doing damage to piston rings, etc. (since they won't be at their
operating temp). You'll have to drain and refill the coolant as well.
1) Drain the coolant.
2) Trace the heater core return line to the bottom of the block (front
of engine, driver's side).
3) The hose will connect into a steel fitting, one hose coming from the
radiator, one from the heater return. The thermostat is in there
4) Remove, replace the thermostat inside
5) Reassemble
6) Flush and Fill the Coolant
Cheers,
Brian
Good Luck

Usually on a 15 min commute it is barely at the 1st line...in cool weather Is this normal? It will eventually come up unless say I am coasting down a long hill say over Vail Pass or Eisenhower tunnel where the temp will fluctuate greatly.
