Sounds like a bad thermostat. I had a similiar problem
last year on my old A6 avant. I replaced thermostat.
The worst part is.... Your car will run too rich and
it may destroy your cats ,$$$$ = :(, and you'll have
little heat. It's best to spend the few hours and
short money to swap it outr and put in new coolant.

	As Hap alluded to it is pretty cold here in Colorado
around 28 deg.

temperature

ems to take a long time to come up to temp.  Usually
on a 15 min
commute it=
 is barely at the 1st line...in cool weather  Is this
normal? It will

ually come up unless say I am coasting down a long
hill say over Vail

or Eisenhower tunnel where the temp will fluctuate
greatly.

Also when it is cold like today it doesn't budge...if
I feel the

coolant tank even that is luke warm.  Thermostat going
bad?  Sensor?
