All-
Please DO NOT use a GL-5 gear oil in your transmission!

GL-5 is too slick and will cause extreme excess wear on the
synchronizers.

Make sure you use a GL-4 rated (GL-4 ONLY!) gear oil in the
transmission. In terms of synthetic gear oils, I'm using Redline
MT-90 in my transmission, seems to shift a bit better than the
Audi G00 0050 stuff. Otherwise, use Audi factory fill. Amsoil does
not make a GL-4 only gear oil in 75W90 unless you go to their marine
products, although I was told by Amsoil that it is acceptable to
use this product in a car's transmission.

I have Amsoil SAE90 GL-5 waiting to be filled in my rear diff.

DO NOT use Mobil 1 or other GL-5 oils in your transmission!
