Once the key is programmed to one of the four memory positions, set the
seats and mirrors as desired and press and hold the appropriate button
(1-4) and the Memory button at the same time. You should hear a click,
or some sort of confirming noise, then let go. This is the S4 drill --
assume it works the same on the later models. If not, RTFM. :-)

Between the wife and I, we split the 4 buttons (I'm even, she's odd --
no value judgment here), so we each have 2 programmed settings. Of
course, settings #1 and #2 relate to the keys and the other two are
freebies. I personally keep #4, the more kicked back setting for
laid-back superslab cruising. Setting #2 is more upright, pay attention,
it's raining -- it's pouring, the sky is full of rabid bats, style,
which works out just fine for the daily commute.
