Guys,

Took off my oil tray a few weeks ago to clean (dealer did tappet cover
gasket replacement wrong and pissed oil throughout my engine bay & did a
shithouse job of cleaning it up) and was a slack arse about putting the tray
back on. The result:

After executing a double lane change into highway exit maneuver into the
tight gap between semi-trailer (front) and GMC Denali (rear), (as you do) I
managed to miss the exit slightly (I-25 & Arapahoe) and smacked one of those
5 ft high traffic cones at 55 mph - head on. Fucken funnest thing - was
pissing myself laughing. The direct effect of delinquent aggressive driving,
I'll probably learn one day ..... Now it's gonna cost:

Vehicle is OK, will apply orbital polisher to bumper, which is fine, but
I've ripped of my alternator loom - the one between the subframe and sway
bar. The loom is intact, but the passenger side wires are hanging down with
electrical insulator connection attached. The side that's hanging down is
the passenger side - what does this connect to? Is it the starter or the
block? If it's the starter, I'll zip tie, roll start it, and drive it to
fix, otherwise it's a tow jobbie.

Let this be a lesson to all you listers running around without an oil pan -
take heed!

Punitive Exercise:

I will always replace my oil pan after servicing my vehicle.
I will always replace my oil pan after servicing my vehicle.
I will always replace my oil pan after servicing my vehicle.
I will always replace my oil pan after se.........

I will not drive like an arse hole on the interstate.
I will not drive like an arse hole on the interstate.

Regards,
Matt.
