Sorry for the WOB, here's the feedback from Accel you CA listers asked for:


Unfortunately, California state legislature states extended warranties
are not allowed to be solicited in the State of California via direct
mail, telemarketing, or the internet.  So no, there's nothing we can do.
I wish we could.  I've heard from many would-be customers that
dealerships are really taking advantage of the fact they know they're
they only ones that can sell to their residents and charging an
arm-and-a-leg for warranties.  It's really sad.  The only thing I can
recommend is calling their congressman or the Commissioner of Insurance,
who is Jon A. Tomashoff, tomashoffj at insurance.ca.gov.
