Your method is much cleaner. And I recommend that to all. The elapsed time=
'may be' about equal, but your method is just a hell of a lot more sensibl=

To be honest, it never occurred to me to try and change the front springs/s=
hocks by disassembling in-car. I've never had a car before where you could =
remove the strut insert through the top, so I'm used to having to remove th=
e entire strut assembly from the car. As a result I disconnected brakes, dr=
iveshafts, swaybar, control arm, etc...... No wonder it was a bitch. And I =
did this twice. Next time I'll have to give the replace in situ approach a =
try.
