I did notice a big improvement with snowy turn-in when I got the solid
spherical upper strut bearings last spring. Prper allignment is critical to
snow tire adhesion. On another note I was out in the snow one day with my
wife's '01 A6 4.2 and was playing with the ESP. I had it off and had the rear
end hung out in an oversteer slide. I pushed the ESP button and like a magic
hand on the car the rear end tucked right back in. Some of this new
technology is definately cool.
