Dont know why these audi mirrors delaminate, however it is of course an
upgrade opp.  I got a pair of convex mirrors fromLLTEK that are great.
About $80 for both IIRC.  Highly recomended as the pair allows
extrodinary rear and side visibility.  There is a line on the mirror
about  a couple inches in from the end that means if theres a car
visible in there, it is in your blind spot on that side of the car so
dont move to that lane.   I can now make rt. (and left) lane changes
with full confidence that there really is no one there without turning
my head around.  They do take a little getting used to, but now for me
it is the only way to go.
They simply stick on so you lose defrost which has not bothered me in
the least.  If you wanted to, you could prolly pop out the stock mirrors
and glue the mounting hardware on to these mirrors and still retain
defrost, though I have not tried this.  Also IIRC, the stock mirrors
will pop out by wedging/applying EVEN presssure ALL around the mirrors
perimeter.
This is a 4star upgrade based on price & performance IMHO, though I do
not know if lltek still offers them.  They are made in the fatherland.
