Tom, high quality oils (such as Mobil 1 10w30) have detergents already
designed into them, and should not form deposits if changed regularly (I
change every 3000 miles which is too often for a synthetic, but I do it
anyway).
IMO it is not worth compromising the protective film of oil between bearings
(turbo, or not) even for a few minutes at idle. Just changing the oil/filter
should be sufficient. If you are a totally overkill kinda guy and get
visions of giant size chuncks of dirt and grime inside your engine, do a
second oil/filter change after 100-200 miles. I have done this in the past
when buying a used car, not knowing what kind of oil is in the car at the
time of purchase.
