You guys are really paying through the nose! I'm 34, single and have no
speeding tickets (that they know about), and my 93 S4 with full 100/300K and
$1K deductible collision costs me $600/year through State Farm (which is
slightly cheaper than my old 95 GTI VR6).
Also have a 59 Bugeye Sprite and 91 CB 750 insured with them, so there's a
multi-car discount. Also had my 59 TR3A (Paul -- I feel your pain!) on the
same policy, but it needed a little more TLC than I could give it, so it's
gone.
Also, my S4 just came back from ECS with a new clutch and some other minor
stuff. I had no idea how crotchety the old clutch had gotten until I drove
away with the new one -- easy pedal, smooth takeup near the bottom of the
pedal travel and the tranny shifts so much smoother now. Feels like a new
car!
Fellow lister Rob Eagleye will be taking it for a spin tomorrow, and I'll be
interested to get his impressions.
