It is beginning to sound like the community needs to revoke its
recommendations for certain vendors. I can't help but notice
complaints on some places just keep rolling in. Given that many of
us spend so much time pointing people to the vendor list(which is
supposed to list helpful, friendly, inexpensive places), it seems
like several places are no longer worthy of being listed; it dilutes
the value of the parts vendor listing to keep them on there, IMHO.
My personal vote would be for removing Blau and Zygmunt, and that
they be moved to a 'not recommended' list.
My reasoning: Blau is a)overpriced b)annoying as all hell to deal
with(ever tried to reach an actual human being on anything except the
order line? How many other voicemail systems require you to press a
number key every 20 seconds?) c)passing off chinese-made parts
without ID'ing them as such.
Zymunt aka Bimmerparts, AKA Yet Another Website That Just Re-Ships
WorldPac...well, you all know my experience with them(shipping to the
wrong address a zillion times in a row), and at least they don't owe
me money; I've heard from two people so far waiting for refunds.
Purely as a listmember and in no official capacity, I ask the
question: who else needs to get spanked? Anybody want to second my
Blau+Zygmunt votes? What about The Parts Bin? (and as they say,
"Just the Facts, Ma'am".)
