[s-cars] Limp Mode

Hi All,

After reading up on all the posts from this list I have gathered you guys
know what your talking about, and there is a great deal of BTDT.

BTW, us newbies need a dictionary for all the short form that gets used.

Here is my cars problem,
    -The Car,
        '93 Canadian S4... '92 US specs. (Still wondering about that)
            TAP Stage 3 chipset c/w 3 bar sensor.
            TAP wastegate spring.
            996 Front Brakes
            A8 fronts on the rear
            Eibach springs / bilstein shocks
            255/40/17 Yok's
            and 1 BAD A$$ stereo... to compensate for lack of power, as well
as lack of hearing.

    -The Problem.
        I get very good boost, 28 psig, in 5th. The problem is when I keep
that boost for more that 5 seconds or so, then the CPU goes into limp mode.
This results in little boost, and unhappy driver.

        I am getting a little tired of doing 100 MPH reboots of the cpu, it
particularly nasty at night.
I have the Stromung exhaust on order, hoping this might ease things a bit.

Anyone have any BTDT , or any other relevant help.
I will await the verbal thrashing for using TAP I suppose :-)
