[s-cars] Moneys no object S car

Barring a shoehorn to fit the 1st wrecked rs6 drive train into the URs, my
current (long term) "project" is to assemble just what you are asking:

1) rear differential from v8 quattro -- (bolt-in, w/torsen limited slip).
Status: Done!
2) 6 speed transmission from s6+ -- wide 1st gear, hardened input shaft (as
in rs2), but also with internal oil pump and provisions for external oil
cooler. Status: In transit form Germany!
3) rs2 spec I-5t was the final factory evolutionary stage for the I-5t.
This assumes complete sport Q motor is unobtainable, but it seems sport Q
IM's and EM's can be had again.

I've had a 2.6 liter stroker built with Eurovan crank, Carrillo roads and JE
pistons. Idea is to use sport Q EM, with rs2 cams. Turbo selection is
still ???. Goal is in excess of 450HP, optimistically 500Hp. This
approach draws a lot of interesting debate on whether the torque from
increased displacement of the longer stroke is negated by a lower rev limit,
which implies lower HP. Status: I've only got the short block complete so
far, so it'll be a while to determine how the stroker performs.

Phil Ackley, Colin Cohen, and I have an ongoing dialog (continued at almost
every q-club event) that's based on question "if you could raid the factory
parts bin...." My drive train collection really started from this debate,
with the intention of dropping the driveline into the s6 Avant. Eventually,
our conversation looked beyond the ultimate drive train, and asked, "Why
drop the drive train into a 4,000 lb pig?" Wouldn't a 2,800 lb UrQ be a
better home?

So I am slowly (stock market has caused cash flow in the wrong direction)
seeking to find a proper UrQ for the transformation. Similar cars have
been built by Charlie Day and Dean Treadway, although I think they were both
pure "factory" rs2 engines, otherwise a stock UrQ driveline. Dean's white
car was one of the most beautiful machines I've ever seen. Unfortunately,
Andrew Bennett stuffed/totaled it at Virginia City earlier this year.

Just curious, but if money's no object what would the ultimate street UrS
cars drivetrain, suspension and brakes consist of? A little day dreamin
never cost anything.
