Bill:
Funny that you caught my subtle negotiation! Maybe I wasn't so subtle. I'm
pretty greedy, HUH? Drag the family to Paul's s-fest (she actually had a
great time, but leaving our house, it was a chore for the wife). Tell her I
"need" another car. Following day, I leave for Watkins Glen, and leave her
& the kids home alone for 3 days. I keep going back to the old URQ quote
from four wheeler magazine, and realize I too am hopelessly addicted:
"I hope that I will soon forget the Audi Quattro. Until I do, I shall
continue to worship that bitch goddess. Success at the expense of friends,
family, honesty and decency - anything to be in a position to have one. The
Quattro is evil, an insidious witch in the guise of state-of-the-art
engineering, a circe who commands your obedience every waking moment and a
succubus who haunts every dream. She's the seductress who recreates That
First Time all over again, who snips all your tethers to innocence and
changes your life forever."
- Four Wheeler Magazine, August 1982

Bob

Why does this cause mind picture flash backs for me to the look on Mrs.
Pastore's face (at Sfest,) when you pointed to the urQs on Pauls front
lawn and tacitly implied that you'll be needing one of those soon? :)
Now that was funny!
Cheers'
Bill M - still lol
