No, Scott, your point was perfectly clear. So sorry, I didn't mean to give
people on this list credit for having some intelligence and understanding of
the RS2 hardware, or if they don't, that they would actually ask a question or
two before spending $900. I mean, after all, upgrading ones car to RS2
hardware is never, ever discussed on this list. It never occurred to me that
someone would buy an RS2 (ADU) ECU because what they really wanted was an AAN
ECU for their stock car, and not because they might, hmmm, I don't know, maybe
be planning an RS2 upgrade. Silly me.
Okay, Scott, thanks for clarifying that what you meant by "it won't work" is
that the RS2 ECU will not work properly with a stock AAN. Other than that, and
what Steve Eiche mentioned earlier about late versions of the native RS2
software with the immobilizer, if it is still your understanding that an RS2
ECU, with associated RS2 hardware, will not work on an UrS4/6 let us know.
And if anybody was interested, which I seriously doubt by now, in getting a
complete RS2 ECU for your RS2 upgrade, contact Rob. Batteries not included,
YMMV, and it won't work in your Chevrolet.
I'm done with this subject.
I'm sure I'm over reacting, and there isn't even any British humor involved.
If so I apologize. It's a rainy Friday and I guess I'm just plain cranky
today. Need to go drinking tonight so I can be a cranky drunk.
