Just picked my 95 S6 up from the dealer. This is the first time driving th=
e MTM setup. Initial judgments lean towards MTM stronger than the TAP Stag=
e II it replaced. Yeah, I know--you guys told me that from the beginning!!=
Never doubt this list. Now for the good part: after 4 trips to 2 local =
shops (one was Audi dealer) the major boost problem I had was traced to a b=
roken crank pulley key. Bruce Mendel suggested that a broken key was the c=
ulprit per my symptoms. Local shops said no way, my dealer even told me th=
at there was no way mine could break because there WAS no replaceable "key"=
. The car sat there 1-1/2 weeks while they changed cam position and speed =
sensors (I already did that). I copied correspondence from Bruce that poin=
ted to the crank key and took the info to my dealer. Bruce was even nice e=
nough to arrange a call to his mechanic so my tech would have a clue. Afte=
r tearing my lower end apart they found out that the key had, in fact, shea=
red off ! Car drives great and I used Accel Warranty to pay for the repair=
($1042.) Final authorization from Accel is still pending but it looks lik=
e a decent choice for extended warranty service. I'm really torn: The know=
ledge of this list has both saved me a ton of money on parts and fueled the=
fire for future upgrades. Thanks Bruce and may everyone have a great week=
