[s-cars] which hose to clamp?

Hi All-

Silly question...
I need to replace PN 035 103 111 B, a small plastic fitting which comes out
of the engine block and into one of the coolant hoses which runs to the
turbo.  If you look at the FA, you'll see what I mean.

If i wanted to stop the flow of coolant before it enters the engine block,
where would the closest place to clamp a hose shut  be located? would this
be the exit line from the heater core? from the afterrun pump?

I'm trying to avoid draining the entire coolant system (just the amount
that's in the engine) when I replace this stupid fitting.
