Thanks to Bill M, Bruce M, Linus and Ray T who
responded. I ended up checking all the hoses - all OK
no tears, all properly clamped and connected. I also
removed the bypass valve and checked for proper
operation. It too was ok. I checked the O2 sensor-
working properly. Also double checked spark plug
tightness. Apparently the problem is actually in the
newly upgraded ECU itself. I noticed that 1/2 the
time the "check engine light" flickers when the key is
turned to the run position- normally in my experience
this should be on continuously. I can also hear
relays clicking and the ECU clicking whenever the car
stalls/ or is just about to stall. Last night (colder
around 30 F) stalling was much more frequent - about
15 times during troubleshooting/driving. Sometimes
tapping/lightly rapping the ECU will cause it to stall
also. Sometimes it will crank and not restart.

So I will be sending my ECU back to Hoppen, I can't
say that I'm to impressed with there soldering
techniques. Has anyone else had problems with
modified ECUs?
