man-o-man-o-man - This sounds like the wrong ECU (dare I say installed)
or being thrown into the wrong car. How can any reputable tuner, and I
have heard that Anderson does fine work, allow this to happen? Many
smaller, and less expensive Audi OEM parts are different depending on
VIN.

Douglas' car is one fine example of an *extremely* rare low mileage,
well maintained Pearl Avant.  My Soapbox - to all the vendors,
mechanics, tuners and the supporting industry that we spend our money
in, which is saying a lot in this economy, QUALITY COUNTS!
