All UrS4 and UrS6 ECUs sold in the US are functionally the same and the chips
are interchangeable between ECUs without any issues. In Europe there appears
to have been a version with a distributor which probably wouldn't work.
The MTM chips that are being referred to have the correct checksum. If taping
the ECU causes the car to stall it is apparent that there is a bad
connection, most likely this will be a none ideal socket replacement
procedure and or the MTM encryption board.
