I believe I've got a worn release bearing (whines when
depressed and released - loudest near the top)... has
gotten progressively worse (louder) in the past 5K
km... is the release bearing something that can be
easily replaced? if not, and the tranny needs to be
opened up, would it be more sensible to replace the
clutch at the same time? (original clutch = 192k
km)... what should i be expecting to pay for a
replacement clutch? OEM/Audi - or Sachs - (don't think
i need Centerforce etc. as I don't intend to jack up
the boost beyond current stage 1 or 1+ chip)...
other work that should be considered at the same
time??
a while ago, I replaced the BPV because I was
experiencing a stutter on moderate/hard acceleration
between approx. 2500-3000 rpm... well, the new bpv
didn't correct the problem and it back louder than
ever... any suggestions on what this might be caused
by???
i want to get everything sorted out for the spring!!!
thanks in advance...
