I posted a question a month ago or so in regards to losing coolant after a =
new head gasket.
Since I posted the question many things have happened.
The shop who replaced the Head gasket over 2 months ago now, performed man=
y "tests" and were completley stumped as to where the coolant was going. Wh=
y these "tests" were not performed before, I do not know? The second to l=
ast test was putting dye into the coolant to see if any traces showed up. =
At this piont I was still losing coolant about 2-3" down in the reservoir e=
very 50 miles. Finally, the coolant showed up in the oil again. They want=
ed me to leave the car again so they could preform one last test. Well, af=
ter finding out the owner went out of town to go racing I went over to pick=
up my car (since it would have sat at their shop all weekend if I would no=
t have called) to find out they put Ceramic Seal into the system to see if =
it would stop the leak internally. After about 50 miles and some lost Cool=
ant it stopped leaking all together. I drove it by the shop yesterday and =
asked the owner where we stand? He told me that if the leak came back they=
would Warranty it for a year otherwise we are done. This is when I asked =
about the $1,766.65 I had already paid him and had the same problem 2+month=
s later. He stated "we replaced the Head Gasket because it was faulty and =
this was a different problem." So, you can imagine the steam coming out of=
my ears at this point. I was so baffeled I did not know what to do. I fe=
lt like someone was standing behind me with his hand up my *&# and smiling =
at me. I call him this morning to verify that he does not intend to do any=
thing unless I start losing Coolant again. To top it off, after they put t=
he "Ceramic Seal" in my Coolant the engine wants to kill ocasionally at idl=
e and the check engine light popped on several times and a computer hookup =
says the O2 sensor is bad. (Funny how you put glue in the engine and stuff=
 starts to fail?)
I am at the point of placing the credit card transaction in dispute as I do=
not see any solution from the mechanic.
Does anyone know what "Ceramic Seal" does? Is it like Barrs "stop leak"?
Does they fact the Head was checked with a "single cylinder" plate instead =
of an Audi 5 cylinder plate have anything to do with it?

I really do not want to get into a "dispute" over this especially since the=
mechanic is heavly involved with the Q-club and attends all the events but=
I feel I have no choice at this point.

Input welcomed,
