Are these bulbs led clusters ? I know Pepboys carries several APC
bulbs with 1157 bases that are lcd clusters in Ricer colors for those
not concerned with DOT specs. They tend to be bright only directly
inline and do not spread well to the reflector. I have not seen the
amber yet. The idea is to retain the safety of the amber turn signal
with the clear look of the lens without the annoying amber spot when
off. If clear lens are your thing, then silver bulbs complete the
look, The ultimate Ricer solution is to just lightly spray the amber
bulb with silver paint until the amber is hidden, but the light still
shines through, although dimmer. The silvervisions from phillips were
single contact euro style(park/city in main lamp) and thus required
changing bulb base and losing park function at $23US/pr. I'm on the
way to Pepboys.
