I don't know what part of the country you are in Lee. There's a shop
here in Columbus Ohio that is very good on rebuilding steering racks
and other components.
They rebuilt the rack in my '86 5kCSTQ for less than $400, including
the labor for R&Ring the rack. Their rebuilds have bronze bushings
fitted into the aluminum rack body parts, so future wear is really
minimized. If I ever have to do my S6, I'm taking it to them.
