Is the lower spring perch installed correctly in the rear?  I've seen them inverted...  The perch looks like an umbrella, the retaining ring for the spring perch should be up inside the umbrella.  Inverted, the ring sits fully visible below the perch.

The way to compare shocks is not by the spring perch height from the bottom mounting hole, but from fully extended length top of shock (where the upper perch mounts) to lower perch.  Many times this can vary by inches.
