It was the clips on the body that broke on mine.  These are
part number 4A0 807 253 C, and are on order from the dealer.

With the clips broken, the back ends of the bumper hang down
about 3", and strongly resist being raised up - which makes
me think something is bent - either the U yoke on the bumper
struts, or the heavy aluminum that bolts to the U yoke.
Neither shows any evidence of bending ... but we'll see
when I put it back together.
