[s-cars] Spark Plugs - loose

S-men:
I can't believe how quickly the spark plugs get loose.  I hadn't checked mine for 8000 km (5000 miles) and they were all loose, two very much so.  A couple of questions:
1.    The factory torque recommendation is 22 ft. lb.  I torqued mine to 25 this time.  Do any of you go higher?
2.    I had a fair amount of oil blow by in a couple of the spark plug holes.  I can understand a bit but should I be concerned?  How much should I expect?  I will do a compression check next.
