Hi,

Anyone already dealt with Hope Fung Auto Parts? I was in need of a new
heater fan for my S6 and decide to source it locally first to avoid the
usual customs headache and delay. All my usual part supplier do not
carry this part. I found Hope Fung web site and asked for a quote. They
tell me they can get it so, as I was going on vacation for 3 weeks, I
thought delay do not matter, I won’t be able to install it anytime soon.
First surprise: it was shipped 24h after I place the order. When they
say they can get it, it seems to mean it’s already in their warehouse. I
asked a quote from a few US suppliers to have an idea of what I was
paying to avoid the customs. Second suprise, the price, in $CDN, was par
with the price I got from TPC in $US. It means 30% lower than the
cheapest source I found in US. I though may be it’s the famous chinese
audi parts I’ve heard of. After all, a heater fan is a good part to
check the reliability and quality of manufacturing of these chinese
parts. It’s not too expensive and if it fails, it only makes noise, at
worse blows a fuse. I unpacked the fan this morning. Third surprise: the
heater fan is a Bosch unit.

Now, it seems a bit too good to be true. The price is awfully low (BTW,
it’s 170$CDN or 120 $US), the service was perfect – except their asian
accent was a bit hard to understand for a french guy like me – and the
part is a real OEM from Germany. I’ve not installed yet and I’m like
expecting a fourth surpise, a bad one this time.

So, just to stop me scaring, does anyone have already deal with them?
