[s-cars] Final Drive Front Seal

I guess the rear diff didn't like new oil.  The Avant is bleeding from the
front final drive seal.  The Bentley describes a fairly simple procedure
(drop exhaust, drop back of driveshaft :-)) except for dropping the front of
the final drive - is this absolutely necessary?  Also, the flange containing
the oil seal also has a bearing in it.  While I'm in there (myself or
mechanic) should this $70 bearing be replaced?  Anyone BTDT?  Once the
exhaust is off, should I also do the driver's side seal?
