[s-cars] Steering Servo Disable

Being an S4 newbie and seeing this discussion yesterday, I pulled the
wire off the servo last night. WOW was this some improvement. I
expected to completely lose my power steering, but at a complete stop, I
still have a very mild amount of power steering, and the feel at road
speed is now hugely better. Maybe still not quite as good as BMW M3,
but close. I don't think I want to reattach it ever again, and don't
even see any benefit to wiring it to a switch for wifey, given that for
me it is perfect even when stopped. This will just make her less likely
to want to drive it.... <grin>
I didn't bother to disassemble the glove box, just pulled it off the
steering assembly down front. Is there some risk to this mod?? (I
think I'll put some tape over the connectors to keep things clean)
Things can't be this easy can they... Why didn't Audi do this??

Actually the '92 and '93 cars do have a relay, it's just not in the same
easily accessible place. The relay for the earlier cars is behind the
glove box.
