The Dyno-Scan is not the same class scanner for VW/AUDI. It will not
scan the modules that are not covered under the OBD II compatibility
requirement- ECU and other emission controls, and most of those are 96
up vehicles with the OBDII plug.
I believe the ProDiag needs a serial cable attachment. If the palm Vx
will connect to a serial sync cable, having it in hand would make it
cheaper, since VAG-COM would require at least a $200 investment for a
laptop. Or there are Palms available for $69. Both will perhaps
answer specific email questions and have extensive web site info.
I have both systems. The ProDiag is handy for use reading codes at the
under the hood connection of the '95 S6. The '03 plugs in the console
so the laptop can sit in the seat, and big screen is easy to read.
