Having just replaced the gasket in my '93, I'll offer another tip --
don't use any gasket sealer or silicone. Just clean all the metal
surfaces with a a solvent and make sure they're free of oil and grease.
The gasket is designed with extra thickness in the corners to compress.
I learned it the hard way by putting silicone in the corners and ended
up with a leak. I did, however, put some gasket sealer on the
half-circle plugs in the back, they're the most common cause of leakage
so it's probably a good idea to replace those too. If you buy the
gasket set, it'll include them as well as the gasket around the spark
plug holes. About $40 from Clair for the set, more from the local
stealer.

I have the new gasket with silicone sealer on it that was on the car for
about a week, nothing wrong with it except it just needs to be cleaned
with a solvent. If anyone wants it, make me an offer, I'll bring it the
S-Fest this Saturday.
