Adrian, my car is displaying the exact same symptoms, which started happeni=
ng right after a tranny swap. I've heard all kinds of stories, ranging fro=
m misaligned prop shafts to exhaust rubbing. Please keep us updated if you=
make any progress with this problem. Thanks!

Chris

Subject: [s-cars] Grrrrrrrrrrr.... prop-shaft problem?

If I could just drag you off Fred's big muscle thread for a minute...

Grrrrr is the noise my S4 is still making, together with a low frequency
vibration, on high-power/low rev take-off and hard acceleration from a low
RPM condition. Having had the clutch replaced I was led to believe that
growling symptoms were caused by misaligned propshaft and accordingly
purchased the tool and set everything up by the book. Whilst this did
alleviate things a bit, the noise is still there and if anything is getting
worse again.

I'm starting to worry that there may be a problem within the clutch itself -
anybody got any other ideas?

Have to sort this quick because my wife is also starting make a noise that
sounds like "B-M-W", or some such nonsense.

Cheers
