The pipes leaving the middle muffler (resonator) ripped whilst I was driving
up (perhaps foolishly) a rutted trail in Maine.  Also took out one of the
figure-8 shaped rubber exhaust hangers (on the rear muffler).

Is there an aftermarket source for those hangers?  Dealer wants $28, which
seems mighty steep for what it is.

Also I was wondering if anyone had a used resonator in the New England area
they could part with.  Perhaps someone who did an exhaust upgrade?  Or is
there a known way to fix the muffler.  The pipes are fine, just the weld of
the pipes to the body of the resonator broke.

What is the feasablilty of creating some kind of skid plate to protect the
mufflers from being ripped off?  This is the second time it's happened to
me.  What with being lowered there's maybe 3" from ground to exhaust...
doesn't take much of a bump, rock, stick, whatever to reach up and rip it
off...
