[s-cars] Experience with A4 1.8T timing belt?

Igor,
Long time, no talk. I thought it was you who had this particular disaster
happen. This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I remember seeing those
pictures, almost as ugly as Javads breaking of a valve
head-pinball-effect-in-cylinder-bore-catastrophe. I would love to see the
site with your pics as that's really all I'll be needing. I've had a few
volunteers come forward for the TB replacement this weekend. One question
still, did you or do you recommend replacing the tbelt tensioner or the
tbelt tensioner damper? There's about a $100 difference in parts between the
two. I've heard conflicting stories on this one.
When are you making it out West again? Ever?
