[s-cars] buggered wheel bolt

i ended up calling the place that screwed up the wheel bolt and hub in the
first place: costco tire center. they looked it up in their computer, and
it turned out that my tire rotation was almost exactly a year ago.
but after i told the manager that i hadn't had the tires off since then,
he sent me to a repair shop that costco used for this kind of thing.
i didn't even have the audi with me, as it was sitting in the garage with
the wheel off. costco never saw the car.

i put 4 of 5 bolts in, and drove to the shop. the mechanic ran a tap
through the threads, and the threads looked pretty good. he threaded
a bolt in, wiggled it, and compared it to a bolt threaded into another
hole. they were both pretty tight, so he put the wheel back and i
took the car home. i didn't have to pay anything. it was billed directly
to costco by the shop.

so that's the end of the saga. i'm pretty impressed by costco's actions
in this case. i had expected them to tell me that they couldn't help
me since it had been so long and i couldn't prove that they did it. i'm
sure just about any other shop would have.

thanks for the advice and suggestions. i could have bought the tap
and cleaned up the threads myself, but this way was faster and i didn't
have to pay $20 for the tap (including shipping) or find a new wheel bolt.
