Bob,
 That was me. I installed a DSY 6 speed into my 94 and left the procon 10 
cables off. The DSY is the euro version of the new s4 6 speed. I think it is the 
same except it has ports for adding a tranny fluid cooler. Fitment was not 
that bad once I knew what had to be done. A notch had to be cut out of the bell 
housing for the rpm sensor. One of the alignment pins had to be taken out 
because it did not line up. And a couple of the bolts had to be swapped for 
different lengths and one of them ground down to sit right in the bell housing. I 
have had it in for about a year and have done 3 track events with it and so far 
so good. As far as not using the procon 10 cables thats your choice but if you 
ever sell the car you must tell the new owner or better yet have it in writing 
because if he crashes and gets killed because of them not being hooked up and 
he did not know about it it would be your fault.
