The device I watched being used on one of my Audi's, maybe the 90q, was
an assembly that comprised several parts.  Some parts were used with the
puller to remove the bearings, others were used with the puller in
reverse to press the new bearing in.  It is a matter of having a tool
that properly fits the part of the bearing that is to be pressed (inner
race or outer, as required).  IIRC, this assembly was reportedly about
$300 a few years ago.
