[s-cars] is there a linkage adjustment tool?

Hey folks. I'm about to take my 95.5 S6 to a local wrench to get the shifter
linkage adjusted. I remember reading somewhere that there was a special tool
available for this procedure, which supposedly did not require removal of
the center console or something like that. Does such a tool really exist? I
told the wrench about it and he said he hadn't heard of such a device so I
wanted to double check. Thanks,
