The stock brakes SUCK, they are not to be trusted for any kind of high speed
driving.
How these made it into a German car I will never know, unless they sent us
the crap they didn't like.

In a very hard to panic stop from 100 + you will be lucky to make it out
with out some embarrasment of sorts.
I was never really able to lock the front wheels up on dry pavement with
decent summers, this (to me) speaks of problems.

I put on the 996 calipers over 993 rotors and believe it to be one of the
best upgrades ( or required improvements) that I have done.
I suppose if you where to drive the car with in our NA legal limits with-out
any spirit, then you might be ok.
