[s-cars] N75 vavle thoughts:

The metal brackets around the coils of the 3B AAN valves are rotated to
new positions to allow for different mounting positions. The body with
the three ports appears to be the same.

If you look closely you can interchange the valves, but they will not
attach to the intake hose. If you don't look closely and install as
you'd expect you get weird results depending on which way to do the swap
3B to AAN or the other way around.

Then another thing is if the valve is installed upside down oil gets
into the coil very quickly and prohibits the opening of the valve.
(Read as MAXIMUM boost all the time with NO CONTROL)

Hi guys..

I been reading alot lately.. rediculus amounts. I am not sure if this
has been mentioned. Is there a S-car list search?

The parts # listed for the waste gate frequency vavle:

3b: 034906283j
aby/adu: 034906283K
aan: 034906283h

Martyn(vagparts.com) or anyone else who knows vag parts #s knows that an
increase in letters means there was an upgrade.

Does anyone know the difference between the 3 vavles?

IT's funny The Golf 1.8T guys use the J vavle as a way of developing
more boost. Some admit to it like getting "chipped" again. They will
probably over spool the turbos and kill the bearing but they are having
fun.

Question I am wondering is the "K" vavle a decent Mod for you 3B an AAN
guys?

I wonder if someone could do a Vagcom run with the three vavles checking
out duty cycles?

Just some food for thought.

Cheers
Josh
