[s-cars] Central Locking weirdness ??

Driving the S4 this evening with the radio off, I noticed more clearly a 
noise that I've heard before and not given second thought.

I can sometimes hear the sound of the central locking system trying to 
unlock the doors every 5-30 seconds... Driving down the road I would lock 
the doors, and then they would all unlock shortly thereafter.

This doesn't happen every ignition cycle though...

I tried to search the archives, I thought I remember something about the 
central locking actuator being a common failure item..

Could this also explain the dead battery my dad had a few weeks ago (but 
not repeated since....)  ??

FWIW, I have a Code-Alarm alarm/remote-entry/remote-start system installed 
and the factory alarm is not disabled.
