Morning all-

Got a cooling fan issue, hoping someone here has BTDT:

I'm driving down the highway and suddenly hear an f'n Boeing 747 overhead,
appears to sound like it's maybe 200 feet over me. Nope Paul, turns out
that's your car. WTF?

Get home, pop hood, my cooling fan has an intermittent rattle to it, along
with an occasional bearing screech. Comes and goes. There's my 747, nice,
goody for me, apparently Pizzo drove my car whilst I was sleeping. For lack
of better description (and lack of Bentley access for that matter), it's the
fan in the center, the one with the flat 'edge' on it that goes all the way
around and connects all of the blades, rather than the aux. afterun fan.

ANYway, I haven't heard much of these failing from anyone really. Common?
Regardless, anyone have any detailed BTDT notes on the R&R for 'ole Paulie
here today? Ya know, something beyond what I know now, "remove...
replace"? Like to order part (where, how much?) and take care of ASAP
before she seizes!

Also, just for reference, does this fan have a clutch, i.e. did my fan
clutch fail?
