Well, slightly more than just two from George Spears,

"... Due to a variety of factors which all effect {sic.} engine performance
and power, there is no hard and fast rule about power increase with charge
air cooling. However, when comparing by temperature reduction, a minimum of
1% increase for each 10° degrees of charge air temperature reduction can be
anticipated. For every 10% increase in air density, about 8% or more
increase in power can be realized...." taken off the Spearco "Intercooler
Performance Chart" now published by Turbonetics.

I guess something the same, applies to the of the cold side compressor
efficiency islands the turbo manufacturer sometimes provide, complicated
somehow, I suppose, by what I would guess would (should) be rapidly rising
(back) pressure in the exhaust manifold required to drive a given compressor
outside of its most efficient flow/volume area?

Ray, yes, I"m not a Porsche Engineer...boy, really got me there...will all
the Porsche engineers on this list that handily and regularily dole out
advice please come forward? (no, the jump suit that your wife sewed a
P-patch on doesn't make you a qualified Porsche expert... =)

We can salvage some technical meaning......
