Is it ok to run the RS2 MAF without any software changes? Any advantages besides on-step-closer to a RS2 conversion?

Elvis - Make sure you don't put too much oil on it as it will get sucked
into the intake, coat the MAF wires and then you're on the hook for a
$300+ MAF (Or a cheaper RS2 one, hey now there's an idea...). leaning
the wires works for some, didn't for me. But make sure you put enough
oil on there to stop any loose gravel etc from finding it's way into the
engine. So what's the correct amount of oil? Who knows, but for me
it's none, noticed absolutely no power difference when I switched back
to a stock paper filter.

Good Morning Everyone,
I just got in my K&N and its waiting to be installed. I plan
on installing at 6:30am or so before I hit the road to work. Is thing a
pain to put in? I don't imagine it would be, but I haven't found my way
into the engine compartment of my 95 S6 yet.
Any things to keep in mind?
Thanks!
Elvis
