Clean it well before disassembly with something like brake disk
spray cleaner. That way when it dries you can see any further
leaks easily.
Remember, the o-ring does the sealing. I think it just needs to
be tight, but not so tight that you damage the "X" slots. I used
an impact driver and reasonable 'taps' with a medium size hammer.
How's that for scientific precision?
