[s-cars] Emissions testing (rant, long)

WE have emission testing up here in the great white North as well.  However,
I have never had a rat person try to test my S4 on a two wheel roller
set-up.  They just backed my wife's Passat onto the rig claiming that all
Passats are RWD!  I guess our rat people are genetically superior to those
down south due to the extreme weather they must endure while smoking outside
the garage where they run cars without the hoses attached to the exhaust in
the middle of winter.

P.S  My Fiat 124St was nothing like my S4.  It was light, agile, unreliable,
(O.K. maybe he has a point)  but on the other hand it was rusty, and RWD.

Maybe I need to stand outside for a while and let my brain cool off!

I feel your pain. I live in California and had to take my car to the
local monkey boys to get it smogged, results- same as yours she blows
clean out the exhaust..But.. The guy balked at my Samco hoses saying
they weren't stock, and, "Well, Im going to have to pull out the book on
this one.." and then wanted to know what that hose barb on the WG cap is
for and why it vents to open air.. He almost failed me for the visual
inspection at that point. The guy quipped that"Audi makes nice cars, but
they are soo quirky.. Kinda like a FIAT!" Yeah, kinda like a fiat..
right..

Oh well..
