An alternative is to use a 9005 hi-beam bulb in place of the 9006 low-beam.
A 9006 consumes 55W and puts out 1000 lumens - a 9005 takes 65W and puts out
1700 lumens. No changes required in the car unless you want to relay the
lights. Two quick cuts to the stock 9005 base and add the o-ring off a 9006
and you're good to go.
