[s-cars] '92/'93 fender compatibility?

Guys,

I just was told by a wrecking yard that a '93 front fender will not
interchange onto a '92 S4.  I can't think of anything that would be
different but I am not intimately familiar with these body parts.

Can any of you elaborate on your experience exchanging fenders on the
92/93/94 S4s?
